Kazakhstan increases customs duties on import of basic foodstuffs produced in the Republic in sufficient amount. The Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Akylbek Kurishbaev, informed today in Akorda after the meeting of the Security Council, the agency reports.

"We will increase customs duties on all foodstuffs that Kazakhstan provides itself. The technical regulations regarding basic foodstuffs are being introduced. This way we will regulate and protect our home market from import," A. Kurishbayev informed.
