Kazakhstan interested in coal development in India

The ambassador of Kazakhstan in India, Doulat Kuanyshev while speaking to reporters in New Delhi said that his country is willing to work with those already involved in coal projects in India by offering its skills and know-how to them.

New Delhi. October 11. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan eyes energy hungry India for its huge oil reserves, and interested in coal development projects in India.

According to Deccan Chronicle, "the ambassador of Kazakhstan in India, Doulat Kuanyshev while speaking to reporters in New Delhi said that his country is willing to work with those already involved in coal projects in India by offering its skills and know-how to them."

As the envoy said, Kazakhstan has different kinds of coal reserves, so that it has a range of skills to offer in the coal sector in India.

"As per estimates, Kazakhstan contains central Asia's largest recoverable coal reserves. Mr Kuanyshev said that Kazakhstan is also willing to cooperate with India on hydrocarbons and uranium as well as renewable energy sources," the Indian online edition writes.

On the hydrocarbons front, OVL has already acquired a 25 per cent stake in the Satpayev off-shore oil block.
