Kazakhstan is certain in efficiency of Customs Union

Kazakhstan is assured of efficiency of the Customs Union. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus, Alexander Smirnov, informed at the press conference on Tuesday, the agency reports citing the news agency BELTA.

Moscow. January 20. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan is assured of efficiency of the Customs Union. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus, Alexander Smirnov, informed at the press conference on Tuesday, the agency reports citing the news agency BELTA.

Kazakhstan does not have doubts concerning future of the Customs Union. "Kazakhstan has always supported creation of the Customs Union and there are no doubts that this work needs to be continued," A. Smirnov noted.

According to the news agency BELTA, A. Smirnov underlined that Kazakhstan was one of the initiators of creation of the Customs Union and the uniform economic space. Kazakhstan initiated creation of such union in the 90th, but it was not achieved. "Now, three countries: Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia managed to achieve this goal," A. Smirnov said.

"The Ambassador of Kazakhstan also notes that the Customs Union opens big prospects for trade and economic cooperation. The Customs Code will come into force and customs registration will be cancelled from July 1, 2010. The customs control at the border of Kazakhstan and Russia will be cancelled from 2011 and the uniform economic space will be created from January 1, 2012."
