Kazakhstan not to have second wave of devaluation of tenge

There will not be the second wave of devaluation in Kazakhstan. The chair of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Grigory Marchenko, said at the press briefing today, the agency reports.

Almaty. July 15. Kazakhstan Today - There will not be the second wave of devaluation in Kazakhstan. The chair of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Grigory Marchenko, said at the press briefing today, the agency reports.

"Our official position has always been - what we did on February 4th. There will not be the second, the third, or the fifth wave of devaluation this year," G. Marchenko said.

The National Bank declared on February 4 that it would not support 120 KZT dollar rate. "The National Bank ... considers 150 KZT - the necessary new level of exchange rate, plus - minus 3 %, or 5 KZT," G. Marchenko said.
