Kazakhstan occupies 71 place in World Bank, IFC Business Conduct-2008 rating

Kazakhstan has occupied 71 place in the research of the World Bank (WB) and IFC (International Financial Corporation) Business Conduct-2008 in a new rating of 178 countries of the world, the agency reports referring to the report for 2007.

Washington D.C. September 27. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan has occupied 71 place in the research of the World Bank (WB) and IFC (International Financial Corporation) Business Conduct-2008 in a new rating of 178 countries of the world, the agency reports referring to the report for 2007.

The report of IFC Business Conduct -2008 presents the results of the rating of 178 states according to the parameter of improvement of conditions of business dealing, considering data in 10 areas of regulation of enterprise activity.

Time and cost of performance of the requirements of the state for registration of a new enterprise, its activity, conducting foreign trade operations, taxation and closing of the enterprise are considered at compilation of the rating. Thus, such factors, as macroeconomic policy, quality of infrastructure, currency fluctuation, opinion of investors and crime rate are not taken into account.

Singapore has taken up the first place in cumulative rating of 178 countries for the second time. Ten countries-leaders in the region of the East Europe and Central Asia include: Estonia (17), Georgia (18), Latvia (22), Lithuania (26), Slovakia (32), Armenia (39), Hungary (45), Bulgaria (46) and Romania (48). Kazakhstan occupies 71 place in the rating. The report specified that during realization of reforms Kazakhstan has lowered tax burden, having changed rates of amortization.
