Kazakhstan resumed export of meat - Agriculture Ministry

Kazakhstan for the first time over the last years has resumed export of meat, the agency reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

Astana. November 25. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan for the first time over the last years has resumed export of meat, the agency reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

"Export of meat has been resumed according to the concluded on July 10, 2008 contract on delivery of beef in volume of 3 000 tons, mutton - 500 tons, on November 12 by JSC Company National Holding KazAgro Mal onimderi corporation. The first consignment of beef has been shipped to the Russian Federation," Agriculture Ministry informed.

"Conclusion of the large-scale contract and export of meat of domestic production has been carried out for the first time over the last six years. In particular, according to the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, in 2005 Kazakhstan exported to Russia 115.8 tons of beef. In 2006 Kazakhstan exported to Russia 21 tons. In 2007 - November, 2008 Kazakhstan discontinued its export of meat to Russia," the press service emphasized.
