Kazakhstan, Russia agreed to extend CPC capacity

Almaty. April 5. Kazakhstan Today - During the visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Russia the arrangement on increase of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium capacity up to 67 million tons of oil a year has been reached, the agency reports with the reference to RIA Novosti.

"Planned production CPC capacity makes 67 million tons, 28 million tons of which is being used now. During the visit we have agreed to increase its capacity up to 67 million tons that in the nearest seven - eight years will mean the increase in oil extraction in Kazakhstan is provided by transportation means," N. Nazarbayev said at the press conference in Moscow.
