Kazakhstan, Thailand to create business council

Astana. June 13. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and Thailand have agreed to create business council, the agency reports. "It is necessary for our countries to establish active commerce and economic relations," the Minister of Commerce of Thailand Krirk-Krai Jirapaet said during the meeting with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan Galym Orazbakov.

"In this connection we suggest to create the Kazakhstan-Thai council that would operate on a constant basis," he added.

As a whole, the parties noted that volume of bilateral commodity turnover does not correspond to the available potential of two countries and expressed intention to establish active trade and economic cooperation. "Commodity turnover between our countries now makes $70 million, that does not correspond to our possibilities," Orazbakov emphasized.

During the negotiations the arrangement on establishing cooperation between Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Kazakhstan and Trading Council of Thailand has been reached.
