Kazakhstan to finish bilateral WTO negotiations until the end of the year

The government of Kazakhstan intends to finish WTO accession bilateral negotiations until the end of the year. The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, informed journalists on the intermediate results of WTO introduction, the agency reports.

Astana. July 20. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Kazakhstan intends to finish WTO accession bilateral negotiations until the end of the year. The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, informed journalists on the intermediate results of WTO introduction, the agency reports.

"Basically, bilateral negotiations, we think, will be finished until the end of this year," Z. Aytzhanova said.

"The USA and the European Union ask us to open direct financial insurance companies and foreign banks in the territory of Kazakhstan. This question is being considered, but we have a contradiction regarding the transition period for opening of these structures, but we hope that we will find a compromise with the European Union by September to be able to sign the bilateral protocol in October of 2010 during the visit of our President to Brussels," the minister informed.

She also informed that Kazakhstan has not finished bilateral negotiations with the USA and Saudi Arabia. "As for the negotiations with the USA, we have to negotiate tariff quotas on meat and services," he explained.
