Kazakhstan to increase coal mining up to 100 million tons a year

Astana. September 6. Kazakhstan Today - By 2015 Kazakhstan forecasts to increase coal mining up to 100 million tons a year. Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bolat Akchulakov informed today during the first Eurasian energy forum, the agency reports.

"Kazakhstan occupies the 8th place in the world coal stock," B. Akchulakov reminded. According to Vice Minister coal stock in Kazakhstan for today reaches 35 billion tons.

B. Akchulakov reminded that 86.4 million tons of coal was extracted in Kazakhstan in 2005. Coal extraction reached more than 45 million tons for I half of 2006.
