Money transfers through money transfer systems are very popular in Kazakhstan this year. Their volume increased four times and accounted for 31.6 billion tenge for a period January-May compared with analogue period of the last. Previous two years their volume decreased, ranking.kz reports.
Transactions increased by 39.5% up to 130.7 thousand tenge, in connection with this the average check of a transfer increased by 3 times up to 242 thousand tenge.
Among the money transfer systems, the leader is Zolotaya Korona (Golden Crown) -9.7 billion tenge. The volume grew by 6.4 times. The system’s share increased from 19.2% up to 30.8%.
Faster is the next in the list. Its volume accounted to 1.6 billion tenge that is by 38% lower than in 2017. The share decreased from 31.8% up to 5%.
Western Union bottoms the top three. 1.2 billion tenge, with 13.3% lower compared with last. The system’s share decreased from 18% up to 3.9%/
The number of transactions is also led by the Golden Crown - 61.7 thousand, growth over the year by 9.2 times. The share of the system increased from 7.2% to 47.2%.
The second place Faster - 18.6 thousand transactions, which is 42.3% less than the same period last year. The share fell from 34.4% to 14.2%.
Western Union is in third place - 3.5 thousand, 28.6% less than a year earlier. The share decreased from 5.2% to 2.7%.
