Loan debt per person has reached KZT908 thousand in Kazakhstan

Over half of loans are consumer loans without taking security.
The loan burden on a borrower has risen by 5% over the year, reaching KZT 908 thousand, ranking.kz informs.

As of late October 2018, the cumulative loan debt has equaled over KZT 6 trillion in Kazakhstan, a 1.7% increase compared to last months, and a 14.4% increase compared to earlier 2018.

Over half of loans are consumer loans without taking security: 53.1% as of the end of October 2018.

The average size of loans has declined by 3.1% since the beginning of the year, totaling KZT 534 thousand, a decrease of 0.9% has been observed within the month. Despite that the average debt per person has risen by 5.1%, reaching KZT 908 thousand, since the year's beginning, a 0.4% rise over the months.

The banking sector maintains the leading position in terms of the delivery of loans (91.4% of the total share of loans for October). It is followed by IFIs (6%), and online loans (2.4%).
