National Bank raised refinancing rate up to 9% annual

Almaty. July 3. Kazakhstan Today – Kazakhstan's National Bank raised refinancing rate up to 9% annual, the agency reports referring to the bank press service.

Bank representatives explained the increase by inflation rate growth.

As it was informed earlier, Kazakh National Bank has raised refinancing rate by 8% annual up to 8.5% since April 1, 2006.

The decision was made in connection with the increase in the inflation rate and according to Kazakhstan Law On National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the National Bank, in 2006 inflation in annual expression has reached 9% within five months.
