Net profit of banks of second level grew by 52.7 %

Almaty. August 25. Kazakhstan Today - Unallotted net profit of the banks of the second level of Kazakhstan increased within 7 months in 2006 in comparison with the similar period of the last year by 52.7 % and made 67.5 billion KZT. The supervision of the financial market and financial organizations agency press service informed the agency.

Cumulative payment capital of the bank sector of the Republic has made 809.6 billion KZT as of August 1, 2006, having increased in the beginning of the year by 224.4 billion KZT (37.9 %) and in July - by 36.9 billion KZT (5,1 %). Cumulative actives of the banks increased from the beginning of the year by 1 191.3 billion KZT (26.4 %) and in July - by 198.3 billion KZT (3.6 %) up to 5 706.4 billion KZT.

As of August, 1, 2006 the loan portfolio of the banks has made 3 941.5 billion KZT, having increased in the beginning of the year by 879.5 billion KZT (28.7 %). Thus, the gain of loan portfolio in July has made 6.6 % (242.5 billion KZT).

The cumulative sum of the income of the banks of the second level as of August, 1, 2006 has made 452.6 billion KZT, having increased in comparison with the similar period of the last year on 78.2 %. Thus, the expenditures have totaled 385.1 billion KZT, having increased in comparison with the similar period of the last year by 84.3 %.

As of August 1, 2006 the bank sector of the Republic is presented by 34 banks of the second level, from which 14 banks with foreign participation (including 9 affiliated banks - non-residents of the Republic Kazakhstan.
