Net surplus of current account of payments balance of Kazakhstan - $9 billion

Net surplus of the current account of balance of payments of Kazakhstan has reached $9 billion, following the results of 9 months 2008, the agency reports citing the report of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Almaty. January 14. Kazakhstan Today - Net surplus of the current account of balance of payments of Kazakhstan has reached $9 billion, following the results of 9 months 2008, the agency reports citing the report of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

"Significant rates of growth of current receipts at the moderate growth of current payments have provided high proficit of the account of current operations, following the results of 9 months 2008, having totaled more than $9 billion (9.3 % to GDP), in comparison with the deficit of $5.4 billion for 9 months of 2007," the report of the National Bank states.

According to the National Bank, the account of current transactions with the CIS countries has reduced by 12 % and the active balance of transactions with the other countries has increased by 23 times, having totaled more than $14 billion ($622 million for 9 months of 2007).
