New currency system needed

Almaty. October 28. Kazakhstan Today - George Soros, international financier, said in the interview to Financial Times that the world needs a new currency system, the agency reports citing NEWSru.

"We need the new currency system as chronic and growing disbalance in the world financial market costs a lot, G. Soros considers. He recommends creating global currency based on the International Monetary Fund's Special Drawing Right (SDR).

According to D. Soros, the rich countries, the Great Britain and France, have already started to help some poor countries, transferring them a part of their SDR.

According to the financier, the second wave of the crisis, the main source of the problem are the decline of the banking sector and falling of retail demand have come from the United States, where consumers have spent more than they earned for a period of 25 years.
