Next session of commission on bio resources of Caspian Sea to be held in Ashgabat

The next, 28 session of the commission on water bio resources of the Caspian Sea will take place in Ashkhabad on December 17-20, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan informed.

Baku. December 5. Kazakhstan Today - The next, 28 session of the commission on water bio resources of the Caspian Sea will take place in Ashkhabad on December 17-20, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan informed.

"The agenda of the session includes five questions, among which definition of quotas of the Caspian littoral countries for 2008 on catch of sturgeon and export of black caviar, the ministry informed.

The Ecology Ministry expressed hope that the national quota for Azerbaijan will be kept at the level of 2007.

As it was informed earlier, general quota on catch of sturgeon of five Caspian littoral countries for 2007 has been established in volume of 1071 tons. For Russia it makes 286.5 tons, for Iran - 450 tons, for Kazakhstan - 182.5 tons, for Azerbaijan - 90 tons, for Turkmenistan - 62 tons.
