Next session of working group on Kazakhstan' entry into WTO to be held in Geneva on July 17

The next session of the working group on Kazakhstan's entry into WTO will take place in Geneva on July 17. The press secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, informed at today's briefing, the agency reports.

Astana. July 14. Kazakhstan Today - The next session of the working group on Kazakhstan's entry into WTO will take place in Geneva on July 17. The press secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, informed at today's briefing, the agency reports.

"On July 17, 2008 the tenth session of the working group on Kazakhstan' entry into WTO will take place in Geneva with participation of Kazakhstan negotiation group headed by Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce Zhanar Aytzhanova," I. Omarov said.

The process of Kazakhstan's entry into World Trading Organization began on January 26, 1996 with submission to WTO Secretariat of the official application for Kazakhstan's entry into WTO. In February, 1996, Kazakhstan received the status of country-observer in WTO. The working group on Kazakhstan's entry into the organization has been created. WTO includes 39 member countries.
