Norm for import of goods in simplified order creates basis for shadow market

The norm for import of goods by physical entities in the simplified order creates the basis for the shadow market in Kazakhstan. Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Erbol Orynbaev, informed at the round table for discussion of the project of the concept of new Customs Code of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. March 31. Kazakhstan Today - The norm for import of goods by physical entities in the simplified order creates the basis for the shadow market in Kazakhstan. Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Erbol Orynbaev, informed at the round table for discussion of the project of the concept of new Customs Code of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

According to E. Orynbaev, "physical entities import any goods of any purpose in the simplified order weighting up to 2 thousand kg and costing up to $10 thousand. This norm systematically creates distortion and creates corruption preconditions and the shadow market."
