Oil price to remain $50 per barrel

Vice Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Alexey Kudrin, forecasts the price for oil at the level of $50 per barrel for 3 - 5 years, the agency reports citing information-analytical portal Neft Rossii.

Almaty. June 5. Kazakhstan Today - Vice Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Alexey Kudrin, forecasts the price for oil at the level of $50 per barrel for 3 - 5 years, the agency reports citing information-analytical portal Neft Rossii.

"We base ourselves on the forecast of $50 per barrel for the next years," A. Kudrin informed journalists during Petersburg International Economic Forum."

The budget for 2009 was accepted with the forecast of the mid-annual price for oil of $41 per barrel.

According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2010 the price for oil may reach $50 per barrel, in 2011 - $52, and in 2012 - $53 per barrel.

According to the preliminary estimation of the Ministry of Economic Development and Commerce, in 2010, the price for oil will be up to $50 per barrel, in 2011 - $60, and in 2012 - $70 per barrel.

"The Ministry of Finance plans to form the budget of 2010 proceeding from the conservative scenario of development of the economy," the information portal states.
