Over 2.7 thousand micro credits extended to agricultural producers in Kazakhstan

Borrowers purchased more than 10 thousand heads of cattle, 659 pigs, more than 9 thousand small cattle, 1455 horses, 76 camels and 1103 poultry at the expense of received micro credits.

Almaty. September 18. Kazakhstan Today - 2790 micro credits are extended to agricultural producers within the framework of the program aimed at provision of credits to rural area residents.

"The subsidiary of the Fund for Financial Support of Agriculture working on the program on extension of micro credits to rural area residents with average and lower than average income has extended 2790 micro credits totaling KZT 2 331.7 mln," the Prime Minister's official website quotes the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

It was also noted that borrowers purchased more than 10 thousand heads of cattle, 659 pigs, more than 9 thousand small cattle, 1455 horses, 76 camels and 1103 poultry at the expense of received micro credits.

127 credit cooperatives received funds totaling KZT 8101 bln from "Agricultural Credit Corporation" JSC for purchasing 246 agricultural machinery units, 145 agricultural equipment units and 40 thousand heads of cattle.

Besides, 6 rural consumer cooperative societies received allocated funds totaling KZT 223 mln within the framework of the program on providing assistance in cooperation of agricultural producers and rural area residents. The funds are provided for joint organization of preparation, production, processing and storage and sales of agricultural products.
