Participants of consortium Agip KCO satisfied with results of negotiations on Kashagan project

The participants of Agip KCO Consortium are satisfied with the results of the negotiations on Kashagan project. The chairmen of the world oil-extracting companies, large participants of the consortium, informed at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, on Saturday, the agency reports referring to the government's press service.

Astana. November 3. Kazakhstan Today - The participants of Agip KCO Consortium are satisfied with the results of the negotiations on Kashagan project. The chairmen of the world oil-extracting companies, large participants of the consortium, informed at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, on Saturday, the agency reports referring to the government's press service.

Owing to the last negotiations, in the opinion of the Chief Executive Director of Corporation Eni, Paolo Skaroni, close relations between Eni Company and the government of Kazakhstan will have positive influence not only on this, but also on other projects.

"The important result is that all the parties are satisfied with the results of the negotiations and an opportunity to continue realization of the project," the President of Exxon Mobile Development informed during the talks with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, the Executive Director of Shell Company, Jeroen van der Veer, during the meeting with K. Masimov expressed satisfaction with the results of the agreement. "Its objective - to establish the best relations between the companies of the consortium and the government of Kazakhstan to try to play as the best soccer team in order to win," the representative of Shell Company said.

The President of Total, Christoph de Margerie, called Kashagan a multi-billion project beneficial for everyone.

De Margerie informed K. Masimov that Total Company is interested in realization of other projects in energy branch of Kazakhstan and, therefore, it opened its office in Astana," the press service informs.

Kashagan oil field located in the north of the Caspian Sea was opened in the summer of 2000. This is one of the largest deposits in the world opened for the last 30 years with geological stocks of oil at the volume of 4.8 billion tons.
