Price for oil exceeded $60 per barrel

The world market prices for oil have remained high: at the last tenders June future for Light Sweet Crude Oil at New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) was $59.42 per barrel and at the tenders its cost, for the first time for the last half a year, has exceeded $60 per barrel.

Kazakhstan Today - The world market prices for oil have remained high: at the last tenders June future for Light Sweet Crude Oil at New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) was $59.42 per barrel and at the tenders its cost, for the first time for the last half a year, has exceeded $60 per barrel.

The price of June futures for North Sea oil mixture of Brent Crude Oil at London InterContinental Exchange Futures in the first half of the day reached $58.61 per barrel.

According to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the price of OPEC 'oil basket' (OPEC Reference Basket of crudes) has gone up to $56.11 per barrel.
