Prices for oil to reach 80 per barrel in 2010

The price for oil in the beginning of 2010 will reach the level of $80 per barrel. The analytical service Sanford C. Bernstein & Co has a similar forecast, the agency reports citing an information-analytical portal Neft Rossii.

Almaty. September 28. Kazakhstan Today - The price for oil in the beginning of 2010 will reach the level of $80 per barrel. The analytical service Sanford C. Bernstein & Co has a similar forecast, the agency reports citing an information-analytical portal Neft Rossii.

According to the experts, during the current year, there will be the reduction of volumes of oil extraction by non-OPEC countries. As a result, when the markets will make sure the demand for oil is restored, there will be a shortage of oil, which will lead to increase of the prices.

Following the results of the tenders, the prices for oil in the world market significantly went down on September 24, 2009. The price of oil futures with delivery in November has amounted: in London on InterContinental Exchange Futures - IPE Brent Crude - $64.82 (-3.17) per barrel and in New York on New York Mercantile Exchange - Light, Sweet Crude Oil - $65.89 (-3.08) per barrel.
