Prices in world market of titanium gone up

The prices for ferrotitanium in Europe in July went up, caused by limited deliveries and renewing interest of the steelmaking enterprises and trading companies.

Almaty. July 28. Kazakhstan Today - The prices for ferrotitanium in Europe in July went up, caused by limited deliveries and renewing interest of the steelmaking enterprises and trading companies.

According to IBMA consulting company, within the next years, the prices for all kinds of titanium-containing raw materials (ilmenite and rutile concentrates, titanic slag, synthetic rutile) will increase, thus, the prices of ilmenite and rutile concentrates will increase the most - by almost 1.5 times in comparison with 2008. Such forecast is connected with increase of the cost of manufacture of titanium-containing raw materials, the limited deliveries and consumption increase, mainly, for manufacture of titanium dioxide.
