Bishkek. August 21. Kazakhstan Today - The project of the energy cooperation of Central Asia with Europe through Southern Caucasus has been postponed, the agency reports referring to REGNUM agency quoting Director of Caucasus Institute, Yerevan, Alexander Iskandaryan.

Despite of the war in South Ossetia and explosion on the oil pipeline Baku - Tbilisi - Ceyhan, world prices for oil have continued to decrease that demonstrates that oil stocks of the region are not so important for the world.

The work of oil and gas pipelines, through which the Caspian energy carriers were transported to the world markets, have been suspended because of the war in South Ossetia. At the moment, the Azerbaijani oil is exported only through the route Baku - Novorossisk with the limited carrying capacity.
