Quota for import of sugar introduced in Kazakhstan

Quota for import of sugar has been introduced in Kazakhstan. The size of quota has been established in the government's order of Kazakhstan of August 6, 2009 №1186 on introduction of quantitative restriction on import of some kinds of goods, the agency reports citing official mass media.

Almaty. August 12. Kazakhstan Today - Quota for import of sugar has been introduced in Kazakhstan. The size of quota has been established in the government's order of Kazakhstan of August 6, 2009 №1186 on introduction of quantitative restriction on import of some kinds of goods, the agency reports citing official mass media.

The order establishes quota on sugar imported for further processing between the legal bodies. Total amount of the confirmed quota is 54 422.8 tons.

"Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been assigned to control import of sugar by legal bodies in the volumes specified in the appendix to the order and quarterly, by the fifth date, following the accounting quarter, present the Ministries of Agriculture and Industry and Commerce information on actual volume of import of sugar."

The order will come into force after ten calendar days from the date of its official publication, on August 22. The period of validity of the confirmed quota - until April 1, 2010.
