Representatives of state bodies discussed with international experts regulation of genetically modified objects

Representatives of state bodies of Kazakhstan discussed with the international experts the questions of regulation of genetically modified objects in the view of introduction of the country into World Trade Organization (WTO), the agency reports referring to the press service of JSC Company Center of Development of Commercial Policy.

Kazakhstan Today - Representatives of state bodies of Kazakhstan discussed with the international experts the questions of regulation of genetically modified objects in the view of introduction of the country into World Trade Organization (WTO), the agency reports referring to the press service of JSC Company Center of Development of Commercial Policy.

JSC Company Center of Development of Commercial Policy together with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan organized round table on the topic: Regulation of genetically modified objects within introduction of Kazakhstan to WTO.

Representatives of state bodies of the country have been invited to the meeting: Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environmental protection, and the Republican veterinary laboratory and the National Center of Biotechnologies.

"Participants of the round table discussed a wide spectrum of questions concerning regulation of genetically modified objects and the aspects of process of introduction of Kazakhstan to WTO," the press service informs.
