Retail market of medical products of Kazakhstan for 9 months 2008 grown by 31 % - Vi-ORTiS

For 9 months of 2008 the retail market of medical products of Kazakhstan in comparison with the similar period of the last year has grown by almost 38 % in natural expression and by 31 % in monetary terms, the agency reports citing Vi-ORTiS agency.

Almaty. November 28. Kazakhstan Today - For 9 months of 2008 the retail market of medical products of Kazakhstan in comparison with the similar period of the last year has grown by almost 38 % in natural expression and by 31 % in monetary terms, the agency reports citing Vi-ORTiS agency.

According to Vi-ORTiS, nearly 376 million packages of medical products for the sum of $603 million have been sold from January 1st- till September 30th in Kazakhstan through chemist's network.

"Volume of the market of pharmaceuticals along with the state purchase of medical products for 9 months has totaled $914 million."

According to the message, consumption of medical products has reached about $7 per person a month. Comparatively every Kazakhstan citizen has bought about 3 packages a month for the sum of approximately $5. The average price of a package of medicine sold through a chemist's network of the country is about $1.6.
