Revenues of monopolists reduced by 55 bln tenge in 2012

"As a result of the work conducted during the consideration of tariff applications of 42 natural monopoly entities, the revenues of monopolists reduced by over 55 billion tenge in 2012," M. Ospanov said, according to the Prime Minister's official website.

Almaty. January 14. Kazakhstan Today - The revenues of monopolists reduced by over 55 billion tenge due to the work on consideration of tariff applications conducted in Kazakhstan in 2012, Head of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies Murat Ospanov told at a briefing by Official Spokesperson of the Central Communications Service today.

"As a result of the work conducted during the consideration of tariff applications of 42 natural monopoly entities, the revenues of monopolists reduced by over 55 billion tenge in 2012," M. Ospanov said, according to the Prime Minister's official website.

He also noted that all tariffs are approved in accordance with the requirements of legislation aimed at protection of consumers and includes severe restrictions on expenditures included into the tariffs.

Speaking of other changes in the tariff policy, M. Ospanov noted that regulated tariffs are amended in accordance with the planned inflation corridor approved by the Government.
