Samruk-Kazyna fund to downsize its employees

Samruk-Kazyna plans a new stage of downsizing of its employees in the third quarter of 2009. The chairman of the board of the fund, Kayrat Kelimbetov, informed today in the interview to journalists after the meeting with HR chairs of the affiliated organizations of the fund, the agency reports.

Astana. July 22. Kazakhstan Today - Samruk-Kazyna plans a new stage of downsizing of its employees in the third quarter of 2009. The chairman of the board of the fund, Kayrat Kelimbetov, informed today in the interview to journalists after the meeting with HR chairs of the affiliated organizations of the fund, the agency reports.

"We have already downsized our staff by 15 % in the first phase and have saved more than 1 billion dollars. We are working over the second phase of optimization," K. Kelimbetov informed.

He explained, "It will be not simple laying off of the employees, but there will be the work on increase of efficiency of the company," the head of the fund explained.
