Second - tier banks refinance part of earlier issued hypothecary credits

Astana. November 25. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, informed that the second-tier banks will have to direct part of the allocated resources to decrease credit rates of the earlier issued credits within the special hypothecary crediting and development of housing sector program. The Prime Minister informed during discussion of the anti-recessionary government program in the central office of the People's Democratic Party Nur Otan, the agency reports.

The new credit rate will be between 10.5 % up to 12.5 %.

"This measure will concern only that category of buyers of apartments whose housing area does not exceed 120 square meters and this is their only place of residence," he specified.
