Situation in world oil market remains tense - IEA

The situation in the world oil market remains tense. The chairman of the International Energy Agency, Nobuo Tanaka, said in connection with presentation of the report of the International Energy Agency (IEA), the agency reports referring to ITAR TASS.

Almaty. September 22. Kazakhstan Today - The situation in the world oil market remains tense. The chairman of the International Energy Agency, Nobuo Tanaka, said in connection with presentation of the report of the International Energy Agency (IEA), the agency reports referring to ITAR TASS.

"The present instability of prices is an indication of intensity in the market, N. Tanaka noted. To stabilize the situation we need to increase oil stocks in the world."

As it was informed earlier, for the last months cost of barrel of oil has sharply fallen down after reaching its peak in July of 2008, which exceeded $145. In particular, in the end of last week price of barrel at the London stock exchange reached about $96.
