Slowing down of railway turnover of goods to help develop infrastructure in Central Asian region

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said at the second International regional railway business-forum Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Asia that slowing down of railway turnover of goods will allow developing the infrastructure in the Central Asian region, the agency reports.

Astana. December 9. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said at the second International regional railway business-forum Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Asia that slowing down of railway turnover of goods will allow developing the infrastructure in the Central Asian region, the agency reports.

Mr. Masimov said, "On one hand it is a problem, on the other hand it is an opportunity for railway services of those countries to develop their infrastructure and to invest their resources into development of the infrastructure in our region. On one hand, it will give us additional opportunities in the future when economic growth will resume again, on the other hand, self-investment in the infrastructure will stimulate development of the economy," the Prime Minister emphasized.
