Astana. January 22. Kazakhstan Today - Regulation of tariffs in the housing and communal services sector must correspond to the financial possibilities of Kazakhstan citizens. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, said at the expanded session of the board of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies, the agency reports.

"We already know what tariffs for electric energy there can be. Social policy should be planned according to these indicators because people should pay and they should have resources to be able to pay for the rendered services. This is the key question for your agency - to find this balance," K. Masimov said, addressing the management of the agency.

The Prime Minister also noted that it is not possible not to increase tariffs as it "will lead to stagnation of the branch and the equipment and all technology will become worn out."
