Tengiz Service, Agip to realize construction of North-Caspian base for spills reaction project

Aktau. May 18. Kazakhstan Today – Tengiz Service, affiliated company of KazMunaiGas company, together with Agip KCO plan to realize the project on construction the North-Caspian base for oil spills reaction in Atyrau region in 2007. The representative of the engineering and service projects department of KazMunaiGas company Baurzhan Ilyasov informed at the first international conference Aktau. Infrastructure.kz, the agency reports.

Construction of the base is planned in the area of Dam settlement, 22 km from Atyrau.

The purpose of the project is Agip KCO maintenance up to the beginning of oil extraction on deposit Kashagan and other operators carrying out sea oil operations in the northern part of NCBR, to use services to conduct oil extraction: reaction to oil spills, logistics, delivery of the personnel, and storage of materials.

The base includes the center of reaction to oil spills, service of ecological and meteorological supervision, and material base supply.

The cost of the project is estimated at $40 million.
