The Mayor of Almaty monitored the progress of works on reconstruction of road and municipal infrastructure of the city

Almaty. August 8. Kazakhstan Today - Within the framework of the working tour, the Mayor of Almaty Bauyrzhan Baibek inspected the progress of reconstruction works with priority for pedestrians of Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbai batyr streets and Astana square, as well as the road and municipal infrastructure of the city, Kazakhstan Today reports.

As reported to the head of the city, this year 146 km of road surface will be repaired and 97 thousand m2 of sidewalks will be built, 14.7 km will be constructed and 42.2 km of irrigation networks will be reconstructed in 57 streets, as well as reconstruction of more than 32 km of heating networks. In 2,7 times more than last year, when it was replaced by 12 km of heating systems. At the same time, more than 380 km of plumbing and sewerage are being laid with the connection of more than 20 thousand houses in the micro districts "Aigerim", "Ulzhan 1,2", "Karasu", "Akbulak", "Darkhan", "Kurylysshy", "Ozhet", "Trudovik", "Shanyrak 1,2", "Altyn Besik", "Dostyk", and others, - the press service of the city Mayor Administration reports.

During the working tour the Mayor of Almaty made a note to the Mayor deputy of the city Yerlan Aukenov for the low rate of construction along the street of Askarov west of Al-Farabi Avenue, where 3,5 km of water supply networks are being reconstructed. To date, the contracting organization of Titan Sever LLP, which won the tender from Petropavlovsk, has completed the reconstruction of only 2 km. According to the Energy and Communal Services Department of Almaty, the remaining 1.5 km will be completed by mid-September.

In the next section, Bauyrzhan Baibek inspected the work on the overhaul of the bridge across the Esentai River along Abay Avenue. At the facility, work was carried out to dismantle the northern part of the bridge, reorganize the engineering networks (gas of medium pressure, water, telecommunications), the device for the electrical supply of the lifts, concreting the bottom of the main river bed, and others. About one hundred people work in repair work. They work in two shifts. The movement is planned to be launched in the northern part on August 27 this year. Next, builders will begin reconstruction of the southern part of the bridge, which they plan to complete within 25 days.

The Mayor of the city also checked the progress of repair works at Shevchenkostreet from Kunayev street to Zharokov street with a length of 4.3 km. Today, asphalt-concrete cover is laid from Kunayev street to Furmanova street, from Naurysbay Batyr street to Baizakov street, the bottom layer of asphalt is laid from Baizakov street to Manas street. From Manas street to Zharokov street dismantle of tram rails with the device of the base is carried out. From Furmanov street to Nauryzbay Batyr street, reconstruction of heat networks is carried out, the contractor organization carries out works on arranging curbs and arychnyh trays.

The head of the city was also informed about the ongoing repair work on Abdullin Street from Bogenbay batyr street to Makatayev street with the length of 1,090 km. On this site, road repair works have been completed, except for the segment of the streets between Zhibek Zholy and Makatayev, in connection with the reconstruction of the heating networks. Completion of repairs on this site is planned until August 30 of this year.

Within the framework of the working tour the Mayor of Almaty also inspected the reconstruction of Panfilov, Zhibek Zholy, Gogol, Kabanbay Batyr streets, Astana square.

On the sites reconstructed with priority for pedestrians, work is under way on laying pavers, installing racks, building dry fountains, etc. Work continues on renovating the facades of buildings within a single architectural style, etc. In order to increase the shaded spaces, additional planting of tall trees is planned: birch, oaks, limes and aspens, more than a thousand shrubs of different species. In total, more than 330,000 m2 will be landscaped. The work is planned to be completed in September this year.

On Panfilov street from Kabanbay Batyr street to Zhibek Zholy street, works are being done on laying granite tiles with placement of recreational areas, playgrounds and sports grounds, benches, etc. Already this month, work will begin on planting trees and installing flower arrangements. On Astana square continues work on the improvement of pedestrian areas and dry fountains.

As part of the reconstruction of the Zhibek Zholy street from Zheltoksan street to Kunaev street, works are under way to improve the Arbat, keeping the old spirit and dividing it into separate functional areas. The number of seats will be increased, the existing fountains will be reconstructed, sports and children's playgrounds will appear, instead of paving stones, high-quality granite will be used. Within the framework of the reconstruction, much attention is paid to the creation of an effective water disposal system. For example, storm sewerage to Zhibek Zholy had not functioned before, and the old pipes were clogged.

On Kabanbay Batyr and Gogol streets, work is under way on the improvement of pedestrian and bicycle zones. Note that on this section of the road narrowing the roadway is not planned, but along the length of all pedestrian areas parking will be banned, leave the car can only be in specially equipped "pockets".

Let us recall, that earlier experts noted three messages of the president, which most clearly determine the course of development of Kazakhstan.
