Volume of export-import transactions in CIS countries cut by half

Volume of export-import transactions in the Commonwealth of Independent States in January, 2009 in comparison with January, 2008 has fallen by almost twice, the agency reports citing CIS Interstate Statistical Committee.

Almaty. April 2. Kazakhstan Today - Volume of export-import transactions in the Commonwealth of Independent States in January, 2009 in comparison with January, 2008 has fallen by almost twice, the agency reports citing CIS Interstate Statistical Committee.

According to the Statistical Committee, in January, 2009 in the CIS countries export has decreased by 48 % and has totaled $24 billion 326.9 million, volume of import was reduced by 37 % and has amounted to $15 billion 942.2 million

The equilibrium of trading balance for the accounting month has made $8384.7 million in comparison to $21 billion 297.6 million in January, 2008.
