Astana. September 9. Kazakhstan Today - Volume of the Kazakhstan import in 2010 will grow, despite the forecasts. Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, informed at a government session, the agency reports.

"Despite the expected decrease in import by $4.1 billion, import in Kazakhstan will grow 4.7 % by 2009 and will be $30.1 billion. The expected rise in trading balance up to $21.3 billion allows forecasting positive balance of the current account in 2010, which, according to the National Bank, will amount to $2.6 billion, or 2 % of GDP," Z. Aytzhanova said.

"Export in 2010, according to the forecasts, will amount to $51.4 billion that is by $1.8 billion more in comparison with the previous forecast. Higher export indicators have been due to higher forecasts of the world prices for the main export production and higher export volumes. Export in I half of 2010 has grown 72.2 %."
