Volume of manufactured electric power in Kazakhstan to be increased by 30 %

Almaty. July 27. Kazakhstan Today - Volume of manufactured electric power in Kazakhstan is planned to be increased by 30 % in comparison with 2008 by 2015. Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Aset Magauov, informed during the meeting in Almaty concerning realization of the project 'road map' and the concept and the comprehensive plan of modernization and development of housing and communal services for 2010 - 2014, the agency reports.

According to A. Magauov, owing to the undertaken measures towards increase of power capacities, "volume of manufactured electric power in Kazakhstan in 2015 can be 103.5 billion kw/h, or by 30 % more than in 2008." "Manufacture of electric energy in the southern zone will also increase by 30 % and will reach 14.3 billion kw/h. The rest of the volume at the rate of 7 billion kw/h will be taken from the northern energy stations of Kazakhstan," he said.
