Volume of oil deliveries through Chinese-Kazakhstan pipeline exceeded 6 million tons

Almaty. January 5. Kazakhstan Today - As of December, 26th, in 2008, volume of oil deliveries through the Chinese-Kazakhstan pipeline has exceeded 6 million tons. The Department of Migratory and Quarantine Control of Xinjiang Uigur Autonomous Region informed on Saturday, the agency reports citing Xinhua agency.

"More than 6.015 million tons of oil has been extracted, as of December, 26th, through China - Kazakhstan oil pipeline that is by 25.9 % more as compared to the similar period of 2007. 12.54 million tons of oil has been imported to the country for two years after introduction into operation of this transboundary pipeline," the report informs.

"The Chinese-Kazakhstan oil pipeline was put into operation in July, 2006. Volume of oil deliveries, following the results of 2006, reached 1.76 million tons, and in 2007 - 4.77 million tons," Xinhua reminds.
