Waste management of Kazakhstan oil and gas industry to introduce high technologies

High technologies need to be introduced in the sphere of waste management of the Kazakhstan oil and gas industry. Vice President of Ecological Regulation Committee of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, Suyundik Turekeldiev, said at the third forum of suppliers Recycling and Waste Management, the agency reports.

Atyrau. May 21. Kazakhstan Today - High technologies need to be introduced in the sphere of waste management of the Kazakhstan oil and gas industry. Vice President of Ecological Regulation Committee of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, Suyundik Turekeldiev, said at the third forum of suppliers Recycling and Waste Management, the agency reports.

"According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, more than 3 million tons of industrial waste have been registered in Kazakhstan, as of the beginning of the year, and only ten companies are occupied in the waste management market," S. Turekeldiev informed.

He also informed that "now, the project of the state program Zhasyl Damu is being considered in the government of Kazakhstan, which assumes creation of the national centre for processing and recycling of industrial waste and development and attraction to Kazakhstan innovative decisions in the field of waste management."

More than 70 companies from Kazakhstan participate in the work of the third forum of suppliers. The organizers of the event are the Kazakhstan Association of Organizations of Oil and Gas and Energy Complex, KazEnergy, and also three large oil and gas operators North Caspian Operating Company, Open Company Tengizshevroil and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating.
