Almaty. November 18. Kazakhstan Today - World financial crisis has led to sharp decrease of demand for natural gas, the agency reports referring to RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

"On the background of worsening of world financial crisis the majority of oil-and-gas companies reduce their expenses on realization of projects on manufacture of liquefied natural gas," the news agency informs. At the same time, in the opinion of experts, the consumers will have enough present stocks of gas to go through winter, especially considering the current reduction of demand for gas.

According to the participants of the market, in the nearest few years there will be no deficit in the market of liquefied natural gas. The main causes are world financial crisis and a growing demand for nonconventional gas shares. In particular, on Asian spot market demand for liquefied natural gas has already significantly decreased and the prices for gas have decreased as well.

"Japan, the world's largest importer of liquefied natural gas, has already lowered the forecast on demand for blue fuel for the next year. Moreover, Toyota Motor Corp informed on decrease of production one of these days. Hence, the company will reduce quantity of consumed electricity. In many industrial regions of Japan demand for electricity and, hence, on gas has already reduced. The majority of the Asian companies have already bought enough of gas to go through winter", - informs RBC.
