World prices for oil rose on September 8

The world prices for oil, following the results of Wednesday's trade, on September 8, rose in the wake of growth of stock market and dollar downing that reduced the price of oil for stock investors who hold their deposits in other currencies.

Almaty. September 9. Kazakhstan Today - The world prices for oil, following the results of Wednesday's trade, on September 8, rose in the wake of growth of stock market and dollar downing that reduced the price of oil for stock investors who hold their deposits in other currencies.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of North Sea oil Brent Crude Oil on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) last trading day rose from $77.74 up to $78.17 per barrel.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of delivery of Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) last trading day rose from $74.09 up to $74.67 per barrel.

The price for OPEC oil basket (OPEC Reference Basket) decreased on September 7 from $73.43 to $73.02 per barrel. A barrel of OPEC oil in August, 2010 averaged to $74.15.
