World prices for oil went down on November 19

The prices for oil in the world markets on Friday, November 19, went down in the background of the decision of the Chinese authorities to take measures to restrain inflation.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) of North Sea Brent Crude at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) within the last trading day went down on November 19 from $85.05 to $84.34 per barrel.

The official cost of the December futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day decreased from $82.42 to $81.98 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on November 18 decreased from $81.90 up to $81.09 per barrel.
