World prices for oil went up on December 9

The prices for oil in the world markets on Thursday, December 9, increased a little in the background of the positive data about the labor market condition in the USA and general optimism concerning growth of the world economy.

Almaty. December 10. Kazakhstan Today - The prices for oil in the world markets on Thursday, December 9, increased a little in the background of the positive data about the labor market condition in the USA and general optimism concerning growth of the world economy.

The official cost of the January futures contract (settlement) of North Sea Brent Crude at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) within the last trading day went up on December 9 from $90.77 to $90.99 per barrel.

The official cost of the January futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day increased on December 9 from $88.28 to $88.37 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on December 8 went down from $88.13 to $87.46 per barrel.
