World prices for oil went up on November 29

The prices for oil in the world markets on Monday, November 29, went up in connection with frosty weather in a number of the European countries and with the decision to render Ireland financial help.

The official cost of the January futures contract (settlement) of Brent Crude Futures at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) within the last trading day went up on November 29 from $85.58 to $87.34 per barrel.

The official cost of the January futures contract (settlement) on the American Light Sweet Crude Oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) within the last trading day increased from $83.76 to $85.73 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC Reference Basket on November 26 decreased from $82.55 up to $82.34 per barrel.
