World prices for oil went up on September 1

The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Wednesday, September 1, went up in the background of the positive data of manufacture in the USA and China that has positively affected exchange investors. The decrease of the dollar exchange rate has also affected the oil market.

Kazakhstan Today - The world prices for oil, following the results of the tenders on Wednesday, September 1, went up in the background of the positive data of manufacture in the USA and China that has positively affected exchange investors. The decrease of the dollar exchange rate has also affected the oil market.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of the North Sea oil of Brent Crude oil at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) during the last trading day went up from $74.64 to $76.35 per barrel.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of delivery of oil of Light Sweet Crude oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) went up from $71.92 to $73.91 per barrel.

The price of OPEC oil basket decreased on August 31 from $73.05 to $72.39 per barrel. In August, 2010, the price of OPEC basket has, on the average, amounted to $74.15 per barrel.
