World prices for oil went up on September 2

Almaty. September 3. Kazakhstan Today - The world prices for oil, following the results of the tender on Thursday, September 2, increased in the background of the coming hurricane Earl in the US Atlantic coast and the new accident at the oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of the North Sea oil of Brent Crude oil at the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) during the last trading day went up from $76.35 to $76.93 per barrel.

The official price of the October futures contract (settlement) of delivery of Light Sweet Crude oil (WTI) at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) during the last trading day went up from $73.91 to $75.02 per barrel.

The price of the OPEC oil basket (OPEC Reference Basket of crudes) increased on September 1 from $72.39 to $72.49 per barrel. As of August, 2010, the average price of the OPEC oil has amounted to $74.15 per barrel.
