Kazakhstan and India to jointly train digital forensics specialists
Kazakhstan’s Interior Ministry Academy of Management has launched the country’s first dual-degree programme in digital forensics within the law enforcement system, the ministry’s press service said.

The project is being implemented jointly with India’s National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), with the participation of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The programme will enrol 20 master’s students from the Interior Ministry Academy of Management. They will study digital forensics, cybersecurity, forensic science and modern crime investigation methods.

Cooperation with the Indian university will allow Kazakh specialists to gain international experience and practical skills for investigating crimes in the digital environment.

Graduates will receive degrees from both universities upon completing the programme.

NFSU specialises in education and research in forensic science, criminology, digital forensics and cybersecurity.

The Kazakh government earlier reported that crime in the country had fallen by 10% since the beginning of the year.
